石林 Shi LIN THE STONE FOREST
Over hundreds of millions of years, weathering and water erosion have shaped the limestone into a myriad of spectacular limestone pillars, resembling a "forest of stone," hence the name "The Stone Forest." The Yi ethnic group resides in this area, and every year on the 24th day of the sixth lunar month, they celebrate the Torch Festival, allowing visitors to experience the strong atmosphere of ethnic traditions. In 2007, the Stone Forest was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
石林位于中国云南省昆明市石林彝族自治县，是世界著名的喀斯特地貌景区。石灰岩经过亿万年的风化和水蚀，形成了千姿百态的石灰岩柱，宛如一片“石头的森林”，因此得名“石林”。这片区域居住着彝族，每年农历的六月二十四日，彝族人民都会庆祝火把节，可以感受浓烈的民族节日氛围。2007年，石林被联合国教科文组织列为世界遗产。

大石林（Greater Stone Forests）
石林的核心景区。可以看到高大雄伟，形态可以的石灰岩景观。The core landscape of the Stone Forest. You can see tall and majestic limestones in various shapes.
小石林 (Lesser Stone Forests)
以“阿诗玛”为代表的风景秀丽的景区，与彝族传说紧密相连。The scenic area represented by "Ashima" is closely connected with the legends of the Yi people.
大叠水瀑布 (Dadieshui Waterfall)
位于景区延伸段，瀑布从90多米高处飞流直下, 气势磅礴。Located in the extension section of the scenic area, the waterfall down from a height of over 90 meters, presenting a magnificent and spectacular sight.
石林两日游推荐行程Shilin Two-Day Itinerary
第一天 Day 1
• 上午 Morning：游览石林风景区（大石林、小石林、剑峰池、阿诗玛像等经典景点）Visit Shilin Scenic Area (Major Stone Forest, Minor Stone Forest, Sword Peak Pond, Ashima Statue).
• 中午 Noon：品尝彝族特色美食，如烤全羊、彝家土鸡、石林豆腐。Enjoy local Yi ethnic cuisine, such as roasted whole lamb, Yi-style chicken, and Shilin tofu.
• 下午 Afternoon：前往乃古石林，欣赏原始宁静的喀斯特地貌与野花草甸。Explore Naigu Stone Forest, a quieter area with pristine karst formations and wildflower meadows.
• 晚上 Evening：住宿石林县城，参加彝族撒尼人篝火晚会，体验歌舞与“三道酒”。Stay overnight in Shilin town. Join the Yi (Sani) bonfire party, enjoy folk dances, and taste the traditional “Three-Course Wine.”
第二天 Day 2
• 上午 Morning：游览长湖风景区，可徒步、泛舟、观鸟，欣赏湖光山色。
Visit Changhu Lake Scenic Area for hiking, boating, birdwatching, and beautiful lake views.
• 中午 Noon：在湖边或县城享用午餐，推荐野生菌火锅。
Have lunch by the lake or in town — try wild mushroom hotpot.
• 下午 Afternoon：参观石林彝族文化园，了解撒尼人的历史、服饰、婚俗与歌舞。Tour the Yi Ethnic Culture Park to learn about Sani people’s history, costumes, wedding traditions, and dances.
• 傍晚返回昆明。Return to Kunming in the late afternoon.
